Close to Soller, at no more than 33 kms, is the famous monastery of Lluc, which is considered to be the spiritual centre of Majorca, hosting a figure of the Madonna, La Moreneta, which was discovered in the 13th c. and today is visited by pilgrims from all over the world. Also impressive is the area around the lighthouse at Cap de Formentor in the northern part of the island, from where you can enjoy an amazing view from Mirador d’es Colomer. For nature lovers, the walk at Mondragó Natural Park will offer a chance for birdwatching (more than more than 70 species of birds).
