Built in 1854 by Karl-Friedrich Schinkel, Hohendorf Castle is located near the Baltic Sea, between Zingst, the island of Rügen, and the historic Hanseatic city of Stralsund. The estate was once home to Count Klot-Trautvetter, later acquired by a new owner in 2010, and underwent a complete renovation in 2017. The new owner placed great importance on preserving the bright white, fairytale-like appearance of the historic castle while designing its interior in a modern style that meets the expectations of today’s generation.

The estate comprises a total of 26 residential units, with a few still available for purchase. The studios and apartments, ranging in size from 23m² to 105m², are equipped with modern kitchenettes and bathrooms.

Our highlight is the former residence of the Count, which is now for sale. This apartment was part of the unit once occupied by the Count himself. It is located on the first floor of the east wing, facing south with views over the 3-hectare castle park, and features additional large windows with views to the west and east. Measuring just under 71m², the apartment offers a spacious entrance hall, a combined living and kitchen area, a bedroom, a stately modern shower bathroom with tall windows, and a storage room. It is designed to be accessible.

The castle is situated in one of the most popular holiday regions, directly adjacent to a nature reserve. Activities such as cycling, horseback riding, swimming, sailing, as well as attending events, concerts, festivals, and theatrical performances are just as popular as enjoying the tranquility of the estate itself.
